How much will my tattoo cost?

Tattoos are priced at $200/hour plus tax. Depending on the kind of design/placement I may be able to get a rough ballpark for the number of hours, but ultimately your cost will depend on how long it takes to do your tattoo. Larger projects such as full sleeves, back pieces, and others may easily take 8-10 sessions depending on variables such as skin type, side and detail of the tattoo, and other factors not listed here. As this is an artistic endeavor, there is no way to guarantee the exact amount of sessions a tattoo will take upfront – every project and person is unique.

My hourly rate is subject to increase over the duration of a long-term project.

How do deposits work?

I require a minimum $100 deposit (up to $500 depending on project size) to be paid to secure an appointment date on my calendar. All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, but they will go towards the cost of your scheduled appointment (applied to last session for large projects).
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for rescheduling. Your deposit is forfeit in the following cases:

  • project cancellation, after one-calendar-year break between sessions
  • consecutive re-scheduling
  • appointment no-show
  • 30+ minutes late to appointment without prior notice
  • re-scheduling without required 24-hour notice

What types of payment do you accept?

I can take cash or credit card.

Will I see my design ahead of time?

All design are presented at the time of your appointment. I will create a draft based on your project description and inspiration reference, and then we can make adjustments together on the day of your appointment. Make sure to share all of the information and details about your design with me within your request form or during your consultation.

If you are requiring a lot of control over the design and/or would like to see the design before the appointment, I may not be the right artist for you. There is a lot of thought process that goes into the artistic and technical approach of tattoos, and not all art or subject matter will translate or age well.

For larger, more complex projects, there may be an initial design session requiring payment at my regular rate.

What if I change my mind about the design or placement after paying my deposit?

Any major design altering changes you want done to your design or placement must be brought up before our appointment, and are subject to artist approval. Complete concept change is generally deemed as a cancellation of the agreed upon project, requiring a new deposit.

Do you tattoo minors with parental consent?

18+ only at this time.

Do you do coverups?

Sometimes. Factors include the size/darkness of the piece needing covered, and the desired coverup design. If I feel that the desired design or style of work will not cover the existing piece well, I can reccomend other options or artists.

What can I do to prepare for my appointment?

Remember to bring your current Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, or Military ID. Must be a photo ID. Social security cards and school IDs are not acceptable.

Make sure you get a good night’s sleep and eat a full meal before coming to your appointment! Stay hydrated and do not drink alcohol several days prior to your appointment. Alcohol consumption can cause excessive bleeding and cause issues with the healing process.

Please wear comfortable clothing that helps with the tattooing process. If you are getting a tattoo on your arm, a tank top or sleeveless t-shirt will be helpful. If you're getting a tattoo on your leg, it's better to wear shorts. Also, be aware that ink may get on your clothing.

Do not come to your appointment with a sunburn. Your appointment will need to be rescheduled, and your deposit will be forfeit due to day-of cancellation.

Exfoliating and moisturizing the area that will be tattooed the week leading up to your appointment actually helps the tattoo application go smoother!

If there is longer or thicker dense hair in the area that will be tattooed, trimming (not shaving) before your appointment is appreciated. I will be prepared to shave the area regardless.

Can I bring a friend/family member for support?

One support person is allowed at this time.

Can I get tattooed while breastfeeding?

Different artists will vary on this, but my stance is to not perform tattoos on breastfeeding mothers. I am not comfortable taking any risks in this area.
